Armenian Street. The Armenian merchants who once dominated this area in the 19th century are long gone. A block from here is the regional headquarters of Soon Yat-sen's Meng Hooi party.

Classic shophouse architecture. Much of the historic section of the city looks like this. Singapore used to look like this too but they knocked most of it down and built skyscrapers.
