I woke up starving this morning and Dodo had already gone to work. I wanted to get out of the CBD (central business district) so I jumped a train/metro south a few stops.

This is the station at Circular Quay, just a stone's throw from our hotel in one direction and the harbor in another.

I got sticker shock when I bought my ticket - three and change for only a few stops. I must have done something wrong.

These were the classic double-decker commuter trains common to most sprawling cities.

I rode on the bottom, which gives a foot-level view as you arrive in the stations.
