Relative of the African Ibis, the one venerated by the ancient Egyptians as symbol of the god Thoth. Sadly, the Aussie cousins seem to have fallen in the pecking order, fighting it out with pigeons for park scraps.

Pigeons get around & horn in everywhere. Even in the Barry Park pond, they and seagulls (even worse horn-ins) beat the geese and ducks to the bread.
@Sal - these Ibis fight back pretty well, they were poking and spearing with their long bills.
