Singapore - Condo Update

We Finally Have a Due Date, Sorta
Jean got a notice in the mail that the condo will be handed over to us in Q3.  So, at the earliest in July and at the latest by end of September.  We already got ourselves a a three month rental, so we're covered.  We'll be staying on the top floor of a friend's house near Singapore's eastern coast.

Brooklyn - the Master Plan, Part III

The Belgian Boss in NY
The Belgian Boss was in NY this week so Lou and I cornered him in a meeting and asked him to clarify his position on my moving to Singapore.  We explained that all three of us knew I was moving but wanted to know if he'd communicated upwards.  The Belgian's boss is a jerk whose shit list I'm high up on for some reason.  He promised to talk to the boss this week.  I reiterated my desire to travel about 1/3 of the time rather than 1/2, but he held firm.  The week went by and I never heard back.  So, with two weeks to go, still no answer.  One thing was clarified, however.  Long term, to work on this project, I'd have to move to Paris.  I said I never would so the Belgian said "we'll make an exception for you - you only need to be there 50% of the time."  Asshole.

Brooklyn - A Day in Williamsburg

I Take NYC for Granted, I Think
It's finally hit me, I'm leaving NYC.  When I first got here I wandered.  I discovered my new home on foot, one block at a time.  As the years passed I became less interested.  I'd go straight from home to office and back and convinced myself I loved it here because of what I could do if I ever had the inclination.  Now, as I prepare to leave, I have that old feeling again.  I jumped on the train to Williamsburg for no particular reason and spent the day exploring.

Dallas - Freedom of Flight Museum

Checking Out Some Old Birds
With some time to kill before graduation, we went to Love Field to a flight museum.  It was better than I expected.

Dallas - Graduation Part III

The M's Have Been Called, Can We Leave?
"That would be rude!" Jenny said and she was right.  We wanted to get outta there so bad.  We stayed through the entire ceremony and met up with the center of attention in the parking lot.

Dallas - Graduation Part II

Prepping for the Moment of Truth
My plan was to wait for the McRory kid to be called, that was my cue that Caleb was next.  I was practicing my setup, had the fight focus and due to the dark setting I was resting my camera on a railing in front of us.  When I heard McRory, I was ready.  "Caleb McDowell." All hell broke loose in our row, some of us grabbed the railing and set off a vibration that ruined the photo.  It came out fuzzy.  Oh well.  It was really fun.  Caleb later told us he didn't hear a thing.

Dallas - Graduation Part I

Allow Me to Set the Stage, So to Speak
The number bounced around inside my head like an anvil, crushing all hope.  Seven hundred and sixty two kids graduating.  So many that the graduation was being held in a professional auditorium usually reserved for public executions.   We were in for our own slow death.  First the speeches, then more speeches.....
