Paris - Day 1

Fighting the Jetlag
Took off from NY at 7pm, arrived in Paris at 8am (2am NY time) and nary a wink of sleep to this point. Glad I don't have to work today, it is a travel day. We are staying in a small hotel called Hotel Duo in the 4th Arondissement, close to the Marais district, just north of the Hotel de Ville (City Hall) and a few blocks west of the Centre Pompidou. The hotel is on the corner of Rue Du Temple and Rue de la Verrerie.

After unpacking, we took a walk down Rue de Rosiers and had a falafel sandwich at L'As du Falafel, a well-know falafel spot. This is a shot of the Hotel de Ville (City Hall.)

While walking around the Pompidou Centre, we discovered a fountain filled with sculptured by Niki de St. Phalle, the same artist who created the Sun God sculpture at my alma mater.
Remind you of anything?

Wow, guys, nice pix. I envy you & my colleagues at the Westcott Institute do too. We say, even if you have to work, Oh Grumpy, "you'll always have Paris"! Sal
