Tokyo - Wandering

Hiroo, Ikebukuro, Uguisudani, Akihabara and Roppongi
We put on our traveling shoes and hit the streets, starting off in a small neighborhood called Hiroo.  I'd never been.  It's a bit schwanks, lots of embassies, small restaurants and cafes.  We ate breakfast and then sat in a tiny two-level cafe that could fit inside a double-decker bus.

We took a train to Ikebukuru then split up.  One of us headed to the local manga shop, the other to get a nail job.  After, we met for lunch at a small soba shop.  It was rainy and cold and my tempura soba did the trick.

In Uguisudani, after a short stop at a art gallery, we settled into a tiny cafe whose guard dog was more bark than bite.

This was the best way to get out of the cold drizzle.  We tracked in wetness and waited for our coffee to arrive.

The coffee came with a side dish of tiny amoeba-shaped candies.

The lady with the sweet tooth was particularly pleased by this.
