I went over to our condo to re-stain the teak deck on the roof. It's clear our tenants love the roof, they've doubled down on the greenery. Raoul, a Frenchman, explained that he decided to rent our place because of the roof. His wife nodded in agreement.
They've added bougainvillea, papaya trees (which are bearing fruit), a pineapple tree and vines which have grown up and through the trellis, spreading out lavishly.
I asked him how often he watered and he said "every day and even when we travel, I ask a lady from my office to come water each day." Clearly he's addicted.
