We took off early in the day on our way to Cleveland.
At my friend DC's suggestion (he grew up in Youngstown) we stopped there for lunch at Charlie Staples.

Ribs and fries. Dodo had a giant baked potato.
We then took a short tour of Youngstown State. The band was practicing on the football field.
Apparently they have an angry penguin for a mascot.
It's a beautiful green campus built on the side of a hill.
Our Cleveland B&B was billed as an "urban homestead in the making." It was a small house on a corner lot in the western edge of downtown. The backyard was filled with a dozen chickens who seemed interested in who we were.
The next morning we went to a large market in our neighborhood.
The market reflected every major ethnic group: Italian, Irish, Polish...

We bought Irish scones, Irish breakfast pies, a salt stick, garlic butter and some fruit.

We then headed back to our B&B to concoct a delicious breakfast.
