Ain't Much to See Yet
They look to be working on the 8th of 17 floors, so about half-way with the basic structure. I went this past Sunday and wow was there a swirl of activity. Loud saws buzzing, people hammering things, yelling back and forth, the two cranes swooping left and right. From what they tell me, it's a typical workday for Singapore construction. They work seven days a week.
I looked around at some of the neighboring high-rises and many had trees on the tip-top of their rooves, so it can be done.

Since you're now obsessed with trees on roof-tops, are you going to start a petition to have some planted on yours in NYC?
Nope, not at all. That rooftop sucks. The one in Singapore will be 900 square feet and it will be all mine (ok, gotta share it with the Dodomode, but you know what I mean.)
So, every floor is 900 sq. ft.?
Does the building take up a whole "block"? It's a little hard to tell its general size. Does the developer have a website with floor plans, etc.?
@Sal - no such thing as a "block" over here, they don't have a grid city. There are three buildings on the site, though you cannot tell from the picture. I think each floor is around 1,400 sq feet except for the two rooftops, each of which are around 900 sq feet or so. No, no website.
I wonder if the trees are planted directly in soil which is on the roof itself, or in large tubs.
In tubs, for sure.
