Trolling for Votes

On the Senate Grounds
We stumbled onto the Senate grounds purely by happenstance. We were wandering down a deserted street and stepped through a gate to find a lovely open space. On one end is the senate building itself.

On the other end is a man-made lake with statues littered between.
Many of the statues depicted some form of battle. Here is Hercules battling a serpent.

Others depicted battles between mere mortals. There is no doubt who is winning this one.
Quixotically, there are peacocks roaming freely.
They didn't seem to mind the crowds' adoration. Some posed for their photos.
Others lined up for some handouts of breadcrumbs.
Next to the Senate building was a strange stone wall called a "drip-stone" wall.
Click on this photo if you're interested in the explanation.
