The Charles Bridge

Tourist Ground Zero - For a Good Reason
This is where it's at - the Charles bridge. It's a beautiful medieval bridge loaded with sculptures and wonderful gates at either end. We walked north along the river towards it and snapped a photo of the cathedral above it.

Unfortunately, parts of it were being refurbished, squeezing the throngs into half the space in stretches.
It didn't harm the views however. Here's a shot looking south towards Nove Mesto.
And another view of Stare Mesto.
As you might guess, the statues that line the bridge have a common theme. This picture is really nice if you click on it and see it up close.
Here's baby Jesus wearing a propeller hat asking Einstein a deep question about relativity, or something to that effect.
This crew is celebrating killing a vampire, I think. The description was in Latin so I'm only guessing.
Here's a view looking towards the western gate. The artists setup on the bridge and sell their wares.
The western gate.
