One of My Favorite Architects
Nobody's work looks similar. This is a close up of one of his famous apartment buildings. It looks almost human.

Paris - Eating the Good Stuff
With the Dodo in Tow
We're here this week, leaving for a three day weekend in Barcelona on Thursday night. We'll be trying to eat as many good breakfasts and dinners as possible. Today's breakfast was a typically French affair - and a good one at that.

Singapore - Development
They Call it "Enbloc"
Enbloc is a collective sale of apartments or houses to a developer, who then razes the building(s) and builds something new. From what I read, 75% of the owners must agree to it. Embloc is happening all around us. Across the street, near the subway entrance, the houses were knocked flat in a week. In their place will be a 5-story condominium.

Paris - Jetlag
This is Some Kind of Record...
A week ago I left Paris. I went to Singapore, then a few days later to Taipei. I ate breakfast yesterday in Taipei, then dinner in Singapore and breakfast today in Paris. I feel like I've been away for a month, but no, it's only been a week. Then, on Friday (4 days from now) I am flying back to Singapore.
