Singapore - Family Business

Food, What Else?
Jean's brother has a friend who owns a food stall specializing in fried noodles.  He offered to bring her brother into the business by opening up a second outlet.  Jean invested.  The grand opening was last night and we were there to inspect.  The experienced chefs from the first stall were in charge and business began well.  There was a small crowd around the stall ordering.

Her brother, Ben, had to be cajoled into being in a photo.  While we tried out the noodles, he was in and out, buying supplies, watching over the chefs, judging the reactions of the customers.  Ultimately, he is supposed to learn to fry himself so that he can step in when needed.

The Hokkien prawn mee was very good.

However, the char kway teow, not so much.  Strange, since his friend's original stall serves a very good version.  We were honest, we told him we didn't like it and it had to be worked on for his stall is the only one in the hawker center serving this dish.  This should be the go-to dish, there is no competition.
