Kuala Lumpur - Old Buildings

Outside the CBD
Just a few blocks outside downtown, old KL comes into view.  Interesting old buildings, weather beaten and tired.
It looks a bit like Hong Kong.  Ancient cement towers weighed down by hundreds of window air conditioners and clothes hung out to dry.
Trees were growing out of these carcasses, presumably cleared out to make way for new towers.
Every Chinatown in the world seems to be a crowded, noisy jumble - KL's is exactly that.  The sloping roofs in the background are know as the green dragons and serve as cover for Petaling Street, the main drag.
Night only seems to magnify the aging effect, bringing out the buildings' wrinkles and imperfections.
