Yikes!

Get Me Outta Here!
Dad, I'm starting to agree with you - this winter crap is for the birds. As we were landing in Paris this morning I listened closely to the captain's announcements. My French is good enough to understand "moins sept degrees" - that's like 19 fahrenheit! From 90 to 19 in 12 hrs flat! At least it's sunny here......

Ah hah! 17 deg. is warm compared to what it was in Syracuse on Sat/Sun: wind chills in the neg. and so much snow that we were advised to stay home if we could. It was just like the good old days of your childhood, FN.

Not sure I would call it the "good old days" anymore. Something more like "old days."

we are having the coldest stretch of weather since I've been in Florida. Low 30's for a week and highs in the 50's. Nothing compared to Syracuse or even Paris, but still. I've decided that I like the summer better after years of complaining. I can off more easily than I can stay warm now.

that's cool off.

I love your site. Dan showed it to me on his pc but its more enjoyable being able to look, read andclick at my own pace. Love the food pics and explanations you select to post. Short, succinct and, informative. I'm looking forward to looking at all the past travel postings.
I'm a self proclaimed foodie.
Stay warm

Pops - 30's and 50's in Florida? What the heck is going on?

Over here, the cold is compounded by the sun rising at 8:30am and setting at about 4:45pm.

Ellen - welcome. Glad you are enjoying it.

FN, I realize you take most of your own pictures, & very good they are, too. Where did you find this one and others, such as cartoons & other photos? Does the blogosphere have picture libraries?

Sal - I usually try to get a good photo myself to make the point, but none of my photos today made it look cold here. So, I just go to Google images and troll. Just go to Google, type in what you are interested, then in the upper left, click on the images link. It's really easy to find images on the net.

I'm a little late reading this blog, but I was in FL last weekend up at Hurlburt Field, at it was 22 degrees! Now that is definitely not the type of weather I expect when I make my trips out there!
