Singapore - New Subway Line

Four and Counting
The fourth subway line fully opened today.  It's called the circle line due to its shape and it cuts through all the other lines, making it easy to transfer.  The thirty stations span 22 miles underground.  It's not every day you get to see a subway line open, though I seemed to be more excited about it than everyone else.

This station looked like the lobby of a midtown skyscraper.  It sported a soaring ceiling with natural light shining down through portholes onto large murals.  As usual it was icy cold, the tracks sitting behind glass walls.  The approaching train sounded like a whisper.  I rode the whole line, seeing parts of town I'd never been.
