Singapore - The Condo Roof

Saving the Best for Last
As you saw in the previous post, there is a doorway in the living room that leads to the roof.  When you first step into the doorway there is a two-story glass encasement.  Gonna be interesting cleaning it...

You take a sharp right turn and head up the steps.

As you can imagine, it's pretty bright.  This is a shot looking north, over the whirlpool.  The roof is equal to the living room and three bedrooms combined.

Looking south, back towards the door. To Jean's left is the top of the two-story glass encasement.

If I'd been given the choice, I would've opted out of the whirlpool.  Waste of space in my opinion.  I cannot imagine using it all that much.
This is a shot from the northern corner looking due east.
Now, looking northeast.  The park in the distance used to be a cemetery but since they're short of space here, they dug em all up and moved em out.  Along the street, smack in the middle of the trees is the subway stop.  We live practically on top of a subway line.
This is looking due west.  If you look closely in the middle left of this shot, you'll see a net amongst the trees.  That's my driving range - it's a ten minute walk.
This is looking southeast.  There is major reconstruction of the roadways below.  The middle lanes are going to be submerged below the surface.  That should be done later in 2012.
Looking straight down at the pool.  There is a shallow section where the lounge chairs sit halfway in the water.  Off to the left, out of the shot, is a small gym - just a single running machine, elliptical machine and a few universal machines.
There is a built in barbecue pit.  It looks strange to me but Jean tells me it's a standard Singapore model.  There is very little space for the charcoal.
To the left of the barbecue pit is a sink that comes with a nice stainless steel cover.
Here's a shot going back down the stairs to the living room.  It's kind of a strange feeling, you feel like you're walking in the sky.

I wonder if all that glass will freak out a person who couldn't easily use an all-glass elevator in a fancy Atlanta hotel...

I love the music in these posts. Getting very fancy.
