Paris - Salon du Chocolat

Chocolate, Chocolate and More Chocolate
Sal, I think you would've felt as overwhelmed as we did inside this giant convention center, surrounded by some of the most famous European chocolate makers.  This was an all chocolate affair.
It was a mob scene inside.  Each kiosk was surrounded by the hungry sweet-toothed crowds, taking bites of freebies and then usually forking over for a larger portion to take home.
Some of the displays were incredible - like this one that had hundreds of varieties to choose from.
The Dodo got busy buying gifts for friends and colleagues in Asia.  My favorites were the chocolate covered coffee beans and the do-it-yourself hot chocolate made by taking one of the chocolate "suckers" on the left and swirling it in hot milk.

Do you think it's possible ever to have too much of a good thing? I'd probably go nuts over all the chocolate and make myself sick. Looks wonderful.

@Sal, it was pretty overwhelming. One regret: we didn't get the chocolate mousse being served in ice cream cones.
