Gold Coast - Touchdown

Cribs
After a less than enjoyable overnight flight in which I got about an hour's sleep I was happy to reach our home.  One benefit of coming to the beach in the winter is you can live like a superstar for cheap.  Ok, perhaps not cheap but less expensive than 5 hotel rooms.  Our house is a half mile from the beach on a quiet street.
It's pretty nice.
There is a deck next to the kitchen with a gas grill.  We had a barbecue our first night but ate inside.  It reaches 75 degrees during the day but dips into the 40's once the sun sets.
We stocked up at the grocery store and bought some espresso at a nearby cafe.  We tried to make lattes but it must be a lot harder than it looks - the first batch came out terrible.  Going to keep trying.
I made it to 10pm on my one hour's sleep and then fell into a deep coma.
Favorite room in the house - the movie room.  It's a great place to watch the Olympics.  It's already breakfast time on day 2.  After we eat we're headed to a nature reserve.
