Singapore - Changes, Part III

Apartment Update
After our tenants moved back to France, Dodo's mom contacted Dodo and told her the house needed to be refreshed.  Let's just say, to be polite, that there was some sort of miscommunication.  The apartment got white-washed: all of the strong colors were removed, couches were changed, curtains added.  Not to our liking, shall we say?  So, a re-refresh was in order.  This is how the living room looked when we arrived.

This is how it looks now....
We hung photos from our travels on one wall.

The bench had an ugly brown coating of paint before....
I restored it to its proper "weathered" look.
We added two of Dodo's food-related watercolors above the dining table...

I made a graphic related to coffee on my computer and printed and framed it.

The second bedroom looked pretty drab before.
I converted it to a tv room, jettisoning the white leather couch here.
The bedroom was really bland with two bright lights and a purple headboard...
I put the purple wall back in, covered the lights and put the framed painting back.

The roof was looking old, the table was weathered and the white walls were a bit dirty.

So, I repainted it brown and re-stained the table.

Our tenants left us with a nice papaya tree.

They also planted a lime bush (which is called calamansi here) which is prolific.  We've made many glasses of juice from these.
Lastly, I added an automated watering system.  It turns itself on once a day at 7pm and drips water into all the plants for a short spell.
